• To personalise our communications with you (ie. to include your name).

Your email address and name are stored in a secure database. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These methods include:

• Restricted access to the server where the database lives.
• Encrypted (SSL) communication to and from the server.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your information will only be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Serivce Providers: We use a third-party email service (Postmark) to send out emails on our behalf. They need to know your email address to send the emails, but are secure and confidential.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (eg. a court order).

5. Your Choices and Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Opt-in: You will only receive emails from us if you opt in by "confirming" your subscription by pressing the link in the email we send automatically when you sign up. If you do not opt-in in 30 days your information will be automatically deleted from our database.
• Opt-Out/Unsubscribe: You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email we send you.
• Access, Correction and Deletion: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request that any inaccuracies be corrected or that we delete your data. Please contact us at support@otterkin.co.uk to make such a request.

6. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter. If you unsubscribe, we will delete your email address and name from our subscribers database table.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app and newsletter are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardain and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@otterkin.co.uk, and we will remove that information from our database.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, especially as features get added (eg. when we launch the platform properly). We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
